Nice guys finish last
|
Day 53 in my journal, sitting on my bed listening to Journey and Phil Collins, wondering if i am being thought of. There is this guy, he is an amazing person. He knows what he wants in life. He had a hard life as a child and young adult. He seen the evil in people and misunderstanding of life, therefore became a better person within himself. When i look into his eyes i knew that he wanted to have a partner. A woman who can be there for him when he needs the help, a woman who can give him all of his desires. A woman who can accept his faults and weaknesses as well as his accomplishments and strengths. Most importantly he wants a woman who will love him.
He and I met my first day at my job. We did not click instantly becuase I was shy. Though, as time went by the more we began to get to know one another. He is a great looking guy but looks ALWAYS goes away sooner or later, so his personality was what got me to develope feelings. I figured that he has been hurt by women in his life, and low and behold, he had been. I thought that this is my chance to show him that i am not like the other women. To be kind to him, to show him my feelings for him and to let him know that i can love him and take care him. But as we all know, "nice guys finish last". I sometimes think that he takes my kindness for granted. He takes advantage of my feelings for him sometimes. He feels that i am weak, just because i am tring to be is a nice girl.
Eventually i explained to him about how i felt and how he treats me, but he responds that "we're just friends." In other words, i am not his type because i am not risk taker, or that i don't seem to have too much excitment. He gravitates towards women who can care less about him, and uses him to get around because he is a great looking guy. He likes women who are loud, and un-grateful. He doesn't know it, but everyone can see it. I want him to know that what you look for in a woman is not what you need. Maybe the one person that is right for you is right under your nose and your pushing her away. I am a nice girl, i am a kind and lay back person. Though that is not what he wants.
Pretty much in the end he will realize that what he needs and wants is me, but till then he will search, search and search some more till he figures it out. Nice Guys finish last. :(
