24 years old and from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
There is no single word that could some up the individual I am. I wouldn't call it being a social butterfly, but my eclectic set of friends, generosity and chivalry makes up an interesting individual. Born a city boy, I currently work my "dream job" in a nearby county. I get a lot of time off, and either devote that to playing video games, hanging out with friends or maybe some tennis. Geek Alert!? Not a chance, but if someone asks I will tell them yes. I'm passionate about technology and can be a little bit of a know it all. But that doesn't dampen my social life, and I can always have a good time. I like helping others, giving advice, or just being there to help someone through a difficult time. Even if it means going completely out of my way.
Some activities of mine are, tennis -- I'm a USTA player, who plays competitively. I also run track for my university, sprinter | 200 meter dash.
I used to play the violin for some years, but I haven't touched that in a while...
What kind of music do I like? Anything with a beat, but occasionally Emo and Punk or Trance slip in there for some reason.
I don't have many guy friends, only because I consider "guys" hard to talk to about whatever... So I have a lot of lady friends. Its not the best in situations where your girlfriend gets angry because she thinks your cheating.. .As my buddy puts it, I can talk the panties off any girl...but that's not the case. As stated above, talking, laughing and of course listening are great ways to make things comfortable.
I think one question that should be answered is, why did I join this site?
I thought it would be a great idea to share my knowledge and experience with others in hopes to better their situations or shed some light on the outcome of a decision they are considering making. Of course no one can dictate or predict how any relationship turns out, but having some guidance never hurts.
I've been in 2 serious relationships, in which one just recently ended after I found I was cheated on. The unfortunate part is, this is similar to how my relationship in high school ended almost 6 years ago. I've learned a lot about myself through relationship counsellings and my own therapy and have a firm grasp on what I want in a relationship as an individual. In between those I dated 3 or 4 girls/women for a short time.
Here is my own advice: If you see any particular flaw in a person your interested in... chances are they have one for you too. No relationship is perfect, so you must compliment each other. If the other person can rely on your comfort, respect and endearment... they will definitely return it to you also...
A: Hmmm. Good question. From my perspective, he's standing behind you because that's what he's supposed to do, in like certain situations (ladies first). But I doubt its anything to think negatively about. Let's analyze. He could be:*standing behind you, so he can be supportive, put you first and... more
A: First off, "giving up hope"? She's 16. My roommate in college didn't date anyone till we graduated and now he's engaged. He seems to be doing fine.Sounds like you need to be a wingman or wingwoman for your girl. This is a situation where you need to talk to one guy while with your friend and one of... more
A: Ever watch Discovery Channel specials about courtship and mating? I hate to sound like a science nerd, but flirting is just a way for human beings to begin the courtship process. Some girls do use it to be manipulative, but it's just their way of being friendly sometimes.Trust me you have the right... more
A: It depends on what your friendship status is with the person. It's a bad idea if your with somebody else, as that might make them jealous. I don't see a problem with it otherwise; there isn't any harm in being friendly and sometimes ex's can be there in a time of need. (They did understand and care... more
A: I've never drank, never smoked, never did any type of drug. So, you're not alone. I'm college educated and maintain an excellent job. Sound kind of dull? Just means I'm mature. I still like to have fun. I act like a kid around my friends, and do whatever I feel like. I still hang out with my friends... more
Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
First, a little spontaneity I would ask my date to meet me somewhere -- A museum, or park, some place in which casual conversation could be backed by something visual stimulating. A nice dress shirt, something not just a "button down", jeans and either nice shoes, or matching casual sneakers The date should end with each of us wanting to know more about each other. Unless...
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
That there is more to find out... no, lol --> An introduction to my lifestyle, what I am currently doing and how I spend my free time. Maybe introduce something that I've been thinking about, so that next time, there can be a follow-up to it. Of course I would make sure she knows about my hobbies, and maybe one fun fact, like my celebrity relative or my 5-minutes of fame.
