Little Me

I looked up at the sky and wondered if you were still looking for me. If you were still praying for me. With tears rolling down my cheek I vowed to never love again. For when I had tried it, it only let me down. I was afraid to love. That's when I saw your face so beautiful so honest. You took the time to get to know Little Me. With a world full of beautiful faces, accomplished people, and wonderful talents you only wanted Little Me. You held me in your arms as I struggled to break free. Then you whispered in my ear and said "What kind of a place would the world be if everyone were afraid to love, afraid to forgive"? I looked in your eyes as all the clocks ceased ticking and my soul ceased weeping, and I knew from that point on I would always love you.
