Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I think an ideal first date is anything that allows for good conversation and the ability to start to get to know one another. Things like the movies and concerts aren't really very good for this. Something like dinner and a stroll through the park would be much better.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
I'm a very honest person and try to get things out in the open. Of course we wouldn't discuss life stories in one evening but I'd be open to answering any "deal breaker" type questions a girl might have. My values, religious beliefs and social opinions are not off limits.
