Short note before you begin: This myTake was written to inform guys of what "a lot"(not all) of girls would look for in a boyfriend, a lot of these points could very well apply TO BOTH GENDERS but this time we'll be focusing on the boyfriend. So, let's take a look at some of the valuable traits "most" girls look for in a lasting relationship with their boyfriends.

1. Listening Skills
We should all know by this point communication is one of the most important things in relationships so let's start with what makes communication work, active listening. Part of being in a great relationship is paying attention to each other, which in this case, means he isn't simply sitting there listening, but also participating in the conversation and asking her questions.
Showing her that you have a genuine interest in what she has to say means that you respect her opinions and find her interesting.
2. Be Spontaneous
Now your entire relationship doesn't have to rely on you surprising her with gifts all the time, it's just as nice to relax every day and enjoy each other's company, but once in a while you might want to do something fun and that's where it helps if you can be a bit unpredictable and mysterious.
Whether you choose to show up at her place with great food and some wine or telling her you plan on taking her out tonight(without saying where) and she should wear that certain dress that you love on her, it's all part of keeping things fun and exciting. The majority of women love the idea of being swept off her feet with gestures, and it's not about spending money so get creative guys.
3. Great in Bed
Unless you guys are waiting for marriage, I think it's pretty safe to say sex is an important thing in any relationship and in some ways can define the kind of person you are. So never skip foreplay, learn to read her body's reaction to certain things you do and be passionate.
Feel free to ask her exactly what she likes although that doesn't mean stopping every couple of minutes to ask her if what you just did felt good. If you wish to be great in bed, then you need to start focusing a lot more on your partner's needs and making sure she's satisfied even after you're done.
4. Be Confident
I'm sure we've heard it a lot by now, but the majority of women don't want someone who can't make up their minds and lets people walk all over them. You should never have to agree with everything she or anyone else says simply because you want to make her happy.
If you believe strongly in something then stand by your opinions and let her know just how much it means to you, for all you know your way might be better.
5. You Notice Things About Her
How attentive are you when it comes to your girlfriend? Did she get a haircut, lose some weight, buy new shoes or a dress? It might seem stupid at first to some of us guys, but your girlfriend wants to know that you only have eyes for her and the easiest way to prove that is to show her you notice her even in some small changes.
6. Don't Be Clingy
If you haven't experienced a relationship yet, you'll soon find out that trust is the main foundation of any good relationship. Part of that trust includes letting her live her life away from you without you getting overly jealous and questioning who she's with etc.
In the end, this will give you plenty of time to do the same, hang out with your friends, start a new hobby and talk to her about all of it when you're back together again.
7. Mutual Respect
Probably one of the biggest points so far, you must respect your girlfriend(and vice versa), otherwise you have to wonder if you don't respect her, then why are you with her?The key here is that the respect is mutual.
You have to understand that she's an equal part of the relationship, so appreciate her company and input.
8. You Better Yourself
Showing what a positive effect your girlfriend has had on you is a fantastic way of knowing you're with the right person. Whether it's about eating healthier and getting into shape, trying to be more adventurous and taking trips together, aiming for a better job and many more. Improving yourself in these ways shows her she deserves the best.
9. Making Her Realize Her True Potential
Much like the previous point, in which she makes you better yourself, you should have the same influence in her life as well. If there's something you see that needs to change then inspire her to make that change. If she's always mentioned her love of something and you notice her letting it go, then encourage her to keep going.
Showing her that you care about her well-being and passions in life shows you not only care but also pay attention to the little things.
10. Making Her Feel Beautiful
This is the easiest thing on the list in my opinion, all you need to do this is be honest and speak from the heart. Part if being a great boyfriend is reminding your girlfriend just how beautiful she is to you. Compliment her at random times, send her sweet text messages and tell her how lucky you think you are for finding her.
