Ladies, stop obsessing about fashion (and other advice)

I have a few very good girl friends who say they want to be in relationships, but don't understand why they're not attracting men. Finally, after months of hearing them complain, we talked about what THEY think men are attracted to, and - as it turns out - they're completely off base. So, I made a quick list of things that are actually important.

Kindness

Be a kind person. I don't want to hear you talk shit about all of your friends, family member and co-workers!

Be able to talk about something other than the Kardashians

Fine. If you know about pop culture, that's fine. But be well-rounded. Please. Talk to me about the economy, global warming and other social issues!

Dress well, but don't spend all of your money on clothes

Of course I want you to dress well, ladies. But what I don't want is to think you spend all of your money on a new wardrobe every season.

Please, don't do anything crazy to your hair

Men usually only notice long and short hair, but what we're bound to notice (and not in a good way) are neon colors and "undercuts".

Be open to marriage, but don't push the subject

I get it. You want to get married. I do, too, but we only met three months ago! Take it easy, and chill out. Let's get to know each other!

Be able to cook

I can cook. Can you cook? I'm not saying I'm looking for a lady to cook all of my meals for me, but being able to cook shows that you have your act together - and that's attractive.

You make with what you can. I love Fashion, I love Cosmetics and I love Hairstyling. However does that mean I will spend my money on Chanel SunGlasses? Hell No. I can use that 300$ or whatever amount, save it and use it towards a house or things that I would need to have in life (just be realistic and ask yourself if it's a need or a want)... Work with what you can afford (I make over 2400 a month, I save my money because I eventually want to have a nice wedding and a nice house so I know to not go crazy with my spending)... It's all about what you can work with...

Eh... I personally love crazy colours in my hair and I think ladies should spend their money on whatever they want, wardrobe included - assuming they can afford to and it doesn't negatively affect their lives. The other stuff I can see, I suppose.

I agree with this.. I think a person should rock a style they like and that could be a really attractive feature, but I agree with the other important things you noted on your list, @cholt220

Can't cook, obsessed with fashion, talk shit about work and family, and don't know much outside of social media. My boyfriend still loves me though <3 but yeah I can tell he does get annoyed when I talk too much shit, talk about clothes/style too much, and don't talk about serious topics. That's what you get when you date a younger girl though! lol he's 27

I laughed a bit, especially with that cute Swedish Chef gif. I agree with some of these, but I do enjoy fashion. I don't spend a lot of money though, I go after good deals, that's part of the excitement for me. I don't think obsession is good, it's just something fun since I work hard (and sometimes need something anyways).

Thankfully I don't watch or talk about the Kardashians. I do believe in kindness, being able to make at leas some meals is good (although I can cook several full meals), and I never push for marriage.

Marriage is simply a requirement if you want to be with me for a while. I'm not the kind of woman you date for 2-3 years.

Demi levato is a pop star so of course she will have crazy hair colors. I can't afford to wear expensive clothes but some women are rich and can afford to spend money on lots of clothes maybe because they have a rich husband or they accumulated their own wealth. It's funny how you don't want to get married yet you look for a quality like knowing how to cook which is what men look for in a wife. Make up your mind dude.
