The Girl Who Gave Her Heart Away ❤️💔

A young girl

drew a love heart

on an A4 sheet of paper.

She cut around it carefully,

to bring it to life.

She coloured it in.

A deep, fiery red,

like the colour of heated passion in bed.

This beautiful heart of hers did she

carry around so boastfully.

Taped it to her chest,

looking for the man who deserved it best.

A young man

enters her life.

“Babe, you drive me crazy.

Your body got my mind all hazy.

You’re all I want. You're perfect.

Give me your heart.”

“Ok. Only a little”, she said.

A young man

enters her life.

“You look beautiful, sweetheart.

Let me lie with you.

I wanna hold you till I die with you.

Give me your heart.”

“… Only a little”, she said.

A young man

enters her life.

“Be mine. I’ll be true to you.

I just want to understand you.

I never knew what love was till I met you.

Give me your heart.”

“Gosh, you’re amazing but... ok, only a little”, she said.

One after the other, they went and they came.

The men were different, but her response, the same.

She felt wanted, needed, she knew she drove them insane.

The young girl really liked this game.

She knows exactly what she’s doing.

Only a little... right?

A young man

enters her life.

“I’ve been waiting for you for what feels like forever.

I’ll treat you right. I want us to be together.

I give you my heart, only torn,

but still whole and ready, saved just for you.

I prayed to God everyday that He’d lead me to you.

I love your eyes and I love your smile,

but I’m obsessed with your mind and your graceful style.

Could you see yourself loving me for the rest of your life?

If you’ll have me, will you be my wife?

As I give you mine,

please,

give me the privilege of having your heart."

Tears in her eyes,

she looks down

to give all she had left.

This was the man who deserved it best.

Nothing,

but the tape on her chest.

"I'm... so sorry". She hung her head.

He lifted up her chin, and looked into her eyes.

"This should be just fine" he replied,

as he mended his oldest wounds.

This is the story of the girl who gave her heart away,

saved by the love of a man who was there to stay.

I will not be elaborating on this myTake*. I only have three pieces of advice, for Guys and Girls.

1. Be careful with how you distribute your love over the course of your life.


2. Never settle for less than what you deserve, but if you possess the power of forgiveness an acceptance, always use it.


3. When you mess up, all is not lost. Never forget that.

People will come, people will go. Be careful with to whom you give the pieces of yor heart. If someone isn't worth it, simply let it pass.

And remember, a honest and good man is someone not only accepting that parts of your heart is missing, but who's also willing to help rebuild it, if you let him. If you meet that guy, he treats you properly, and it all feels right, then chances are it might just be the one guy deserving your heart.
Why? Because not only is he treating you right, but he's also spending time and effort to help you and heal your heart.

And he's out there. So PLEASE don't throw away your heart, because you might suddenly find yourself bitter and jaded by the time you find him. Or you might be too scarred to trust him enough to let him fix you.

And last but not least, by being too quick on the trigger, you might end up "breaking" a good guy that you just happened to be incompatible with. And that might ruin the chance for the next girl Sometimes it may have seen like the right guy, but please don't say yes just to say yes, when you know the relationship won't work.

There's an old Latin saying I think goes well to the message here.

Quid me nutrit me destruit
What nourishes me also destroys me.

Much like giving a little bit of your heart out, hoping for growth or nourishment, give a piece of it to the right person and the whole heart grows and prospers. Keep giving pieces of it to the wrong people and you'll keep destroying it piece by piece until there's nothing left.

A good mytake and a good piece, like the message behind it.

We did something like this in school once. We all taped a paper heart to our shirt, and we're told to tear a bit of it away every time we felt upset or our feelings were hurt or we felt embarrassed or whatever... any negative feeling. If something made us feel good, we could tape a piece back on. Most people had a pretty small paper left by the end of the day. It was to show everyone how all the little things in the day add up, and encourage everyone to be kind.

I feel sorry for women who get hurt like this time and time again, it really must take the life and the soul of her, but I am not going to be one of these men that comes along, sweeps her off her feet and rebuilds her as a person, that's not my job and I am not going to spend time repairing someone who is broken. Obviously there's nothing wrong with waiting until marriage, but that should be a choice, and I've seen some posts recently saying they shouldn't be allowed to lose their virginity until marriage... which I personally disagree with as despite thinking it's a good idea, I still think it should be a choice.

So your mytake is about a girl who gave her love to smooth talking liars who told her they wanted her. She lost a bit of her heart each time they broke up with her. This caused her to have less love to give to the person each time and become more jaded. She eventually meets a guy who truly loves her but after years of giving herself away to plenty of guys could not reciprocate her love for him. It's now this man's task to help rebuild the broken emptiness inside of you. Personally that might be difficult or near impossible. Even if we stiched together the pieces to form your heart it will still be imperfect from what it was and have scars of mistrust, and cynicism on it.
