We only show the best of our attributes, never ever questioning


why.


Why do we do this?


Why do we only show a part of who we are,


when we have everything to offer?


We as humans were born to sin, yet we parade around


in judgment of others, acting as if our existence


is one without flaw. The route to all learning,


is by making mistakes.

Some of the obstacles we have faced; went beyond our control.


Instead of embracing that we've gotten past our hardships, we hang our heads low in
embarrassment.


What hurts more than the past itself; is our fear that our significant-other will react in bash-lash.


The words that circulate in our mind's are those in question of ourselves and experiences.


Your own fear is the force that holds you back.
It stands in your way, of giving love to another and allowing it to be received in return.

When you allow yourself to be vulnerable, you break down all walls.


You strip yourself of all of the layers, that once worked as a barrier against


you and the atmosphere.


Every mark, every scar, every imperfection, is what makes up who you are.


When are showing yourself, you are no longer hiding.


You are revealed.


You are not afraid to fall for someone anymore.

You're standing before that person and confiding in them.


You share with them secrets in hopes of bonding together as a unit.


Although allowing yourself to be vulnerable is scary because we fear rejection,


the only way you can love and be loved, is to show your inner-most self.


If you don't, you will remain concealed only showing a fragment of who you are.

Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.
