5 Things to do With Your Long Distance Lover

Like everyone said Valentines Day is approaching, this can suck when your far away from your lover.

Here are 5 things that are great fun long distance that you can do together.

1. Having a Rabb.it session!

www.rabb.it is a website where you can browse the internet together, this opens up a ton of possibility's! You can go to Youtube, Netflix, The less legal alternatives to netflix, or something else entirely, heck you can even go to the spicer websites if you so desire. Everything you normally do in your browser is possible, it includes video and voice chat and best of all its entirely free!

2. Online Gaming

Many of you probably saw this one coming especially if the two of you are gamers.

Gaming is a great activity to do when abroad so why not spend some time shooting at zombies, solving puzzles or relaxing in a sandbox game?

3. Writing a story together

I saw many on this website enjoy the act of writing. So why not play out a story in your minds, perhaps it is about your future? Perhaps it is a fantasy setting where you life out a medieval life. A sci-fi adventure , a romance novel or something entirely original.

Writing and imagining the story can be a great way to explore each others mind and live out a fantasy together!

3.5 Roleplaying

Alright, so perhaps writing something down isn't your thing but you still like the idea of having a simulatanious fantasy? Why not close your eyes and pretend you are together and roleplay how it would be if you where in the same room. Or alternatively if you loved the medival sci-fi dragon filled action roleplay any story you would otherwise have written down.

4. Making music

This one is especially for those who share a passion for music together and love producing. Why not spend the day composing or just playing around together? Its a great activity you can easily do over a video / voice chat.

5. Taking things a step further

Who said sex is only for when you are together? I bet many of you didn't see this coming but since sex is important in a (long distance) relationship i bet its something that many would love to do on valentines day if only there lover was near them. Luckily technology comes to the rescue as you got plenty of options. Just keep in mind that you can always be recorded so even if you trust your partner don't do a dirty voice or video chat if you dont want this to end up on the internet by unexpected means. One wonderful addition to smartphone technology are remote controlled vibrators, If your going to be apart for a long time these could certainly be usefull. Your partner controls them from the other side of the world and can change the intensity and really tease your body. Plenty of options to enjoy.

Just broke up a little less than a month ago :'( but I did #4 for him. I recorded myself playing and singing him a song awhile before we broke up and planned to send it to him as a gift for this Valentine's day. After we broke up, I debated if I should still send it to him and I ended up sending it to him (because I put in quite a lot of work into it) and he loved it.

We wanted to do #5 when we were still together but the one that we were looking at (wevibe) was pretty pricey. But yes, it's a really good idea to still keep things spicy despite the distance.

I was looking for the MHO to give you a pat on the shoulder. Then i remembered this was a myTake and they don't have that haha. Long distance relationships rely so much on emotional investment and emotional bonding. I know how much it hurts to split.

Yep, it's been very, very painful. One moment I feel fine, and the next moment I find myself in tears. I know it hurts him too but being a guy, he expresses it differently. We still talk and have decided to remain friends. He's been really sweet to me throughout and still tells me that his feelings have never changed and how he still thinks about me. We didn't split because of the distance but more because of other factors in life that aren't in our favor... At least, not right now.

I love your MyTake it has amazing information and amazing facts, but generally speaking, it is SO SUPER RARE that distance relationships work, especially when you met them online.
I really do wish that people take virtual dating serious, but it takes two, and usually one of the two will always drop a bombshell or just find a person in real.
But hey, if people would follow the steps of your MyTake, im sure the chances are way higher, but fact is, that they would have to sit in front of the computer all the time or have a phone with them...

Sitting in front of the computer all the time is the only method i have heard that actually works. If both are comitted to being together at some point, for example one is willing to move then the two can wait it out if they love each other enough. If holding out until your together is not an option then its doomed to fail.

His computer is screwed so 1 and 2 are out. Our writing styles and genres are far too different to be effectively put together (and it would have to be effective for either of us to want to continue) so 3 is out.

4 requires at least one of us to be musically gifted, which neither of us are, and 5 requires me to actually have a working vagina, and him a working phone. Neither of which we have XD

We do TECHNICALLY still live together. But I'm practically moved back in with my parents, and we're currently a three hour drive apart both ways. Been two weeks since I've seen him apart from a half hour visit so I could pick up some more clothes.

He does have a phone just... one that's failing him drastically. If his phone does die, I can just get to him through his sister or his parents. Just have to time calls better to get around his sisters schooling and parents working hours.

We'll manage though, been together over a year now, and I'll be damned if we break up just because of a little road.
