I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 22.
I've been in a lot of crappy relationships but I've never been treated so good until I got with him. I feel like I finally found someone compatible with me and someone who treats me the way I deserve. I was super cautious at the beginning of our relationship, and tried my hardest not to fall for him but he said he'd work to win my heart and trust, and damn did it work. He is always looking out for me and would do anything to protect me, he is always bringing me little gifts, etc. We both feel just content with eachother.
But I was kinda shocked when I found out today that he dropped out of high school at age 16. We come from different backgrounds; I'm middle class and he is very poor (but that's not his fault and I don't think less of him for that), I graduated high school with honors and I'm going to college this fall and he dropped out at 16 and works at 2 very hard jobs. He says he waited this long to tell me because he is ashamed of it, and he's going to take the GED (he's taking classes for it). He is always saying he doesn't deserve me and doesn't know why I'm with him but I'm happier with him than any other guy and I definitely don't think he is stupid or less of a man for his background.
But is his different background gonna bite me in the a$$ one day? I don't want to leave him and I love him but at the same time I don't want to make any foolish decisions
