Why does my girlfriend stare at me when I sleep?

So usually I get to sleep before my girlfriend on account of me being able to fall asleep easily. One night, I was restless and I couldn't get to sleep. I tried to close my eyes and see if I can force myself to sleep. While I was closing my eyes but still conscious, I can feel my girlfriend change positions in bed. I opened my eyes ever so slightly and all I can see is her staring down at me with a grin on her face. The next night, I fake slept and she did it again! The next night was the same thing.

Why does she do this? Should I be worried?

It's funny, I'm laughing here. Probably more at the fact it creeps you out. If you want it to stop then wait until she does it again, open your eyes up widely and scream at the top of your lungs. Be prepared to get the whole you are a jerk thing and girly hit on the shoulder. It will make her afraid to stare at you or fear of being scared to death next time...

I used to watch my ex sleep sometimes if I woke up or couldn't get back off. He looked so peaceful and sweet sleeping. He was 6'3 and I'm 5'0 so it was about the only time I felt I was protecting him lol. I'd just stroke his hair and kiss on it while he was sleeping for a bit before I'd go back to sleep :)

There's nothing wrong with it. If I was with a guy, i would like watching him sleep... watching his face settle into a peaceful state of sleep. Its quite relaxing.

Meh. It's not weird. I find that people look peaceful and innocent in their sleep, and it's sweet to look at/watch.
Unless she has a knife in her hand there's no need to worry.
