Wow, I am surprised - are you sure? because i am a bit of a tomboy and we're not all that "cute" like they make out in the movies. Look for a girl who hasn't put much effort into her clothes/hair/make-up, typically big T-shirts and jeans, she'll probably be a bit more quiet and less smiley than your typical cheerful-high-pitched-giggling girls but it's not because she's sad or shy but because she's not trying to impress the guys or seem "cute" and "hot". She'll usually be up for games that are a bit rough and muddy, or has a specific sport/talent that she's into. Be her friend, charm her, make her feel good about herself and make the first move if you see she's reacting well to you (i. e. uncharacteristically rough with you OR suddenly being a bit girly) - Good Luck :)

I'm a tomboy also, I know girls like to say that sometimes to get attention but I have been for.. well all my life. Honestly just be their friend, it may not work with all of them but who knows. Also that other girl is somewhat right tomboys tend to not really care about their looks. I tend to wear boy clothing... no makeup all that great stuff. I mean nobody is alike but I say just be nice to them, be their friend and see how it goes from there. and don't be afraid of the friend zone... well you can be but if they're anything like me they don't believe in friend zoning. haha I might be the only one in the world. Also not all tomboys are sporty, cause I'm more the gaming, quiet, academic crazed tomboys. but hey good luck with your dating thing.
Maybe find out where the girls are that you're attracted to hang out and be there when they're there. So if they're at the gym - go to the gym. If they're coaching baseball, show up and watch a game. Tomboy girls are not always going to be at the same places, but you are likely not to find them in knitting clubs. Also, they usually like to hang out with other guys, so wherever the guys are, they're likely there too. You just have to make yourself accessible to wherever it is that they enjoy being.
Maybe it is just my area, but tomboys are everywhere in Oklahoma. I think most women mimic male behavior in the hopes he will find her a better fit. Every girl I know loves football, fishing, camping, and every other stereotypical male trait. Very few girls are act like girly girls. Which is very unfortunate for me. I can't stand tomboys.

how tomboyish are we talking? (does she have girl friends or does she always hang with guys?)
I guess if you're looking for a girl who participates in certain activities, then chase those things, like sports or whatever (teams at school?)
