Why do girls use so much more toilet paper than guys?

Ok, me and my girlfriend moved in together about 3 weeks ago, and the one thing that is standing out more than anything else is the fact that toilet paper is flying off the roll like it's missed a flight.

Is this just an isolated incident, or do all girls go through toilet paper faster than a fat kid when the cake is brought out?

I'm horrible with this too.

For one, there's more to wipe, especially when we're on our periods. I also tend to fold toilet paper a few times. Its better to, so that there's no chance my hand will have contact with pee when wiping. Its both a habit and a hygiene preference to use more. None of us want to get infections, especially since we're a lot more prone to it then guys, so we like to make sure and keep clean.

Well.. girls will genuinely use more toilet paper because we have to wipe every time whereas guys don't have to wipe after they pee. It's odd though because I would still say I use less or the same amount of toilet paper as my boyfriend. I feel like guys are more wasteful. Or maybe I'm mindful because I buy it. It gets all caught up in the labia even if she's shaved. And it's worse when we're on our periods because blood comes out at the same time, so that has to be wiped up too.

Puzzling when u consider that toilet paper is an antiquated technology that infectious disease and colorectal specialists say is neither efficient nor hygienic. Cleanliness matters, since u can get seriously ill from diseases transmitted via feces. Cholera, hepatitis, and E. coli and urinary tract infections are prime examples, which by the way your just smearing around. You’re just never going to get as clean as rinsing with water. Maybe there are also psychological reasons we do not embrace the newer technology? How about we stop flushing away our forests, huh? I advocate for the bidet and if everyone would just do some research and stop using being hygienic or periods as excuses the ignorance can cease.
