My boyfriend has really bad nightmares and he has trouble waking up from them, it gets pretty "aggressive" ?

My boyfriend has really wild dreams and when I wake him up from them it takes him long to wake up and realise what's going on. Last night I tried to wake him up and he punched me (still in the dream) pretty heard. I have hard time sleeping at night because I'm worried about what's going to happen. When he wakes up he doesn't remember a thing about the dreams. What is this? He refuses to see a doctor which frustrates me..

I have had night terrors, it can be very embarrassing. If he's assaulting you in his sleep, its obviously not on purpose, but you need to tell him you won't sleep in the same bed with him until he gets some help for it. It can be dangerous, and is hurting your health by disrupting your sleep. I feel for the guy, but you have to think of yourself too.

Either he's faking, or he's cursed. I don't know. I've had this experience too, but instead of that kind of nightmares, I get weird future predicting dreams which I will completely forget. I don't know if it's real though, I don't bother with it.

Sounds like night terrors, him refusing to seek help would be a deal breaker for me, especially if he's hit you due to these nightmares. Get separate beds and don't sleep with him until he has help, also, don't ever wake him up
