Sorry this is so long!
I broke up with my ex back in May. We saw each other on Halloween at a party. He kept ditching the girl he came with to follow me around. He saw me talking to another guy. This guy I have been friends with for years and my ex knows this. My ex was drunk and got mad about it. When I left the party, my ex and my guy friend were still there. My ex tried to start a fight with my guy friend after I left but a fight didn't happen. My ex texted me in mid November apologizing for how he acted on Halloween . I had replied with "It's okay. You were drinking and I understand." Then he started being a dick and blew up on me about how I'm a shitty person. He's tried messaging me 9 times since then saying nice things like asking how I am and stuff. I've never replied. I've felt like a bitch for not replying because I dated my ex for 3 years and I just feel bad for ignoring him. He messaged me today saying "Merry Christmas. I hope you have everything you want. Have a nice day." He reads too much into things and I don't want to give him hope (he's still not over me) that we might get back together just because I messaged back. Should I reply to his "Merry Christmas" or just keep silent like I have been doing?
