19 year old and a 15 year old

Ok well I made out with a female friend of mines little sister last weekend. She's 15, turning 16 this year, and I just turned 19. Ok well at the time I thought us kissing was probably a bad idea, but now that iv thought about it Iv decided that I like this girl (shes cute, good to talk to and fun to be around) and I'm thinking about asking her to coffee. She doesn't look like she's 15, in fact I actually thought she was older then her 17 year old sister. What would people reactions be to this? I don't know how her mum would take it, but seeing as her 17 year old sister is going out with a 23 year old, I can't be sure.

What do you guys think?

Also, before you start saying stuff like statutory rape and that. I'm in Australia, age of consent here is 16, and I have no intentions of having sex with her for at least a year.

That last bit didn't come out right. I mean that I'm kind of a wait for someone special person. Most of my other relationships have been very slow and we don't usually sleep with each other until a good 3-4 months in.

This is a tricky issue because 4 years is not a HUGE difference in ages...when the couple is older. For example, many adult relationships have an age difference around this much or more. So it seems like there is nothing wrong with it.

However, the problem lies in her exact age, not the age difference. She's seen as young and naive whereas you're seen as older and almost a predator going after an inexperienced girl.

I would probably look at someone more like 17 or 18 if I were you, but that's just my 2 cents.

The way I think of it though is that I had my first girlfriend when I was 14-15. So its not necissarily to young.
