If that situation as you mentioned happened and all my bf step in to shove the guy off me but ended getting beat up, then him losing the fight would be the least of my concern. I would be filing assault charges on the other guy, calling the nearest hospital and nursing my bf back to health. As long as it was really in self-defense then it's ok.
If the guy was only being a jerk but not really threatening me and the bf starts a fight for the heck of it when he shouldn't (esp. if the option for both of us to walk away was still available) then I wouldn't be impress at all. That would be a turn off.
There's probably girls who would leave their beaten up boy friends..
However.. for me... I would hold a huge grudge on the jerk.. Probably get armed for next time or do at least something when my boyfriend is getting beaten up...

I'd slap the jerks before they got close enough to touch me then walk away holding my guy's hand. Wouldn't even give him a chance to be beaten up. But if he were to be beaten up in front of me, there's no way I'd leave him! I'd jump in and get the jerks away from him! Then walk away holding his hand.
