Girlfriend called me a pushover?

My girl and I have been together for about 7 months now. Put simply, I am madly in love with her. I love to see her smile and I would do absolutely anything to make her happy. When she asks me to do anything, I do it regardless. I'm not like that with anyone else, like I said I just want her to be happy. I mean to say that, I don't take crap from people in my everyday life, If someone pushes me, I push back.

During an argument she called me a pushover and said that she wants someone to take control. I don't really understand what I'm supposed to do. I mean, I pick the time and the restaurant, but if she's busy or doesn't like the place am I supposed to just drag her by her nipples? If she asks me to do the dishes am I supposed to tell her to do them herself? I make the first move and take the lead all of the time, but if she wants to do something different, then I do it. I dont enjoy forcing her to do anything she doesn't want to do. Is that what she wants?

I know it's hard for you to say exactly (as you don't know us) but I appreciate any advice you can provide.

First things first. Your doing whatever she wants and says. That's a no no. She can't always get her way. If you want to go to a restaurant and complains tell her fine then you eat their alone and enjoy yourself or just drop her off at the one she wants to go to and go to the place you wanted to go. Most likely she will change and have a better attitude to you. The main thing is again, your letting her push you and giving her what she wants. I have a 0 tolerance policy towards that. If she continues to behave like this it's time to move on

You should never talk to her again and show her who the real push over is

Hard to say - she is suggesting you are too agreeable - do you concede in every argument just to please her or do you stand up for yourself and battle it out with her? Perhaps if you don't stand up for yourself she feels the issue isn't resolved. Maybe if she does the wrong thing by you (too busy for the restaurant) she feels guilty and if you don't punish her by getting angry then she feels worse.

You sound like a very nice guy. And sometimes, it's not always a good thing. I feel like you're being too compliant, letting her choices overthrow yours.

She just wants a man who knows how to say no when that's what he really feels.
