Should I be mad that my boyfriend puts video games before me?

I bought my boyfriend a video game for Christmas and since then he's been spending less time with me to play. I won't see him all day and we'll have plans when he gets home and he tells me that he wants to play for an hour or two. I feel like he's putting the game before me. What do you guys think? Am I right to feel mad? Or am I being dramatic?

That's a bit shitty, yes. If she wanted to go out or have sex or do something, I'd pick her over the game. Conversely, if she just wanted me to sit in the same room as her while she did something only she found interesting (like watching reality shows) then no.

I don't know what game it is, but I used to have regular sessions with friends of certain games, and so we planned around those nights in terms of going out.

no when u have plans and u incorporate him in them because if he's backing out of plans the problem isn't him putting videogames first its him using u as an object labeled "gf" instead of treating u like a person but this is too specific for that

You're kind of overreacting. When do you expect him to play if he's supposed to spend his spare time with you? Do you want him to make a schedule or appointment for video game time?
