Is dating in college worth it?

I don't really want a serious relationship but I do want to hang out with guys and have fun in colllege. Is it wise to go out with people knowing I don't want to be tied down?

Yes I think it's worth it because a lot of people end up finding there special someone even it isn't serious... At first because once you get a job and your single the dating pool starts to become small, and you might not have enough time for it... So I'm just suggesting you try it and see where things take you.

Just hang out with guys and have fun in college, then. No need to even date. But if you want casual dates then just let them know directly that you just want to hang out and have fun and not be tied down with anything serious.

I think it's worth it because I believe you could find the person that you want to be with forever. If you don't want to be tied down, though, I wouldn't date if I were you. It'd just lead those guys on :/

My son avoided relationships in college to focus on his studies. He blew right through and then got his Masters at a top ten school for his area of study. Now he works for a Fortune 20 and has a lot of money for his age. He is now considering a relationship.

I know how you feel I try to force myself to go to clubs since it seems like that's the only way to meet single girls but I hate it. I'd rather do other things but it seems like they're so guarded anywhere else.

If you're upfront with them about your intentions, it should be ok. Some college guys/girls are in a hurry to get married before graduation, especially those that believe in abstinence before marriage due to religious beliefs. You should know if the person you date is in this category.

I dated a couple of women in college with no intention of marriage-feelings were mutual.

Unless the person isn't a psycho or you aren't in the 12 - 14 age then dating is worth it, even if you break up you get to learn from the mistakes.
