If I just want someone to cuddle and watch movies with do I have to be more than friends?

Do I have to be in specific type of relationship. I don't even care about kissing or anything. Just cuddling and possibly holding hands. Would it be weird to this with a friend. I've never had a girlfriend and am unsure how ask if this type of physical contact is ok. If I want this kind of physical contact where do I start?

Lol, sorry for that little outburst. I love to cuddle and hold hands with opposite genders, but usually guys aren't up for that. Luckily my best friend doesn't mind it, but he's the exception. Of course, he is also my best friend. If you are going to do this with someone it should probably be a girl that you are very close friends with. Also, be totally upfront about what you want so that she won't get the wrong idea. I let my bff know that I just really liked cuddles and that was all and he was totally cool with that. Just find the right moment and ask her if she wants to cuddle.

Just ask her. Straight out. That's what I did with my best friend. Be honest with her that you are not looking for anything more and that you just like cuddling. Also make sure that she is at least somewhat of a cuddler too. If she isn't and hates being touched, then it's not such a good idea.

I've had affection shown to me in that way. So I probably would end up with feelings. I just want to see what's it's like though.
