What does it mean when someone says,"We'll talk later, ok"?

This sounds like a silly question, but let me explain. My boyfriend was walking me to my car which was a long walk. I had started a whole discussion about my feelings about our relationship. He knows I was in a decade long relationship until last summer, and our relationship I guess is semi casual because I'm often confused about what he wants. I was expressing my feelings saying that sometimes it feels like we're in a relationship, other times it feels like we're friends. He said,"But we are friends aren't we?" I said,"But I thought we were in a relationship, so it's confusing" He said,"It is a relationship" I said,"But it feels casual sometimes." And he said but isn't that what you want?" I said,"I don't know.." (I was confused because not too long ago he said his feelings were growing, he was getting more committed. And that he was hurt that I assumed he wasn't.) He asked if it wasn't working out for me anymore. I said it is working now, I just don't know what I want long term. A big example is I'm 33 and I don't even know if I want kids so I don't know what all my deal breakers are at the moment. We talked more about other things, but we got to my car before we were finished talking and he said,"We'll talk later, ok?" And kissed me goodbye. And I don't feel like we finished. I also wanted to talk about HIS wants. What HE'S looking for and feeling and didn't get a chance to ask. Does it sound like he simply reached his limit for now, or he simply has NO interest in talking about these things, period?
