Gf wants to have plastic surgery?

So me and my gf have been together about 5 and a half years. I love her so much and she loves me. But one thing about her is that she is very self conscious about the way she looks. She's honestly beautiful, but she just seems to have chronically low self esteem. I tell her how beautiful she is every chance I get, but she honestly doesn't believe it because I don't think she sees it.

When we first started dating, she made some general comments about one day wanted to get some work done on herself. I told her at the time that I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with her but whatever makes her happy makes me happy. But recently, it seems like she's getting more and more serious about wanting to get plastic surgery. The other day she listed off for the first time some of the things she wants done and it was honestly a laundry list of surgeries she wants. And it scared me a little bit. I'm worried that if she does get all those surgeries I won't recognize her anymore. I mean I'll love her no matter what, but it scares me that one morning I'll just wake up and not see the girl I fell in love with.

There's one more thing that scares me. One of the things she wants is breast implants. Again, whatever makes her happy makes me happy. But I'm kinda scared because I've never told her this, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but my biggest turnoff has always been fake breasts. It's just been that way since I was a teenager and I'm not really sure why. But as sooN as i see them i guess i get a little disgusted. So I'm a little worried that if she does have it done, am I going to have to train myself to be attracted to fake breasts? And what if it doesn't work, how am I going to be able to please her sexually if I can't train myself to be attracted to them? Any advice would be much appreciated

If you biggest turn off is fake breasts then you need to get out more often. Are fake-Os a bigger turn off than a big fat, hairy, unkempt, sweating, dirty guy with broken rotting teeth trying to stick his slithering tongue down your throat?

Haha. Well I'm like you, I don't like fake-Os either. They look fine under garments but in person they feel and look wrong and just are not as sexy as the real thing.

You need to tell her how you truly feel. Tell her your fears. In the end she can and should do what she wants. However, you are entitled to not be attracted to the changes. To me it isn't just the fakeness of plastic surgery, it is also just the idea of it all. How many celebrities have we seen with botched jobs? Tons. If it can happen to them (people with deep pockets and access to the best surgeons, then it could happen to the average person.

Sit down and communicate your feelings to her. She may think you aren't really opposed and secretly want her to have those things done. If she realizes you are serious then she may think twice.

In the end it his her choice though.

It's really sad that she feels the need to get so much work done on herself. In all honesty, getting these surgeries likely won't change her self-esteem either. Someone who is that insecure will be insecure no matter what she looks like. Even with the surgeries, she'll probably just find other reasons to be insecure with herself.

I think you should be honest with her about your feelings on the matter but ultimately, if she wants to do it then there's nothing you can do to stop her. It's her life and you can tell her you she doesn't need surgery and that you love her the way she is now, you should also tell her your view of fake breasts. However, that's about all you can do. Personally, I think she needs to find ways to increase her self-esteem because getting surgery isn't going to magically make her feel better about herself. I hope she re-considers the plastic surgery and instead can learn to be happy with herself.

you need to tell her about the breast thing. But i think that as long as she doesn't go super duper huge, they will look nice.

i have implants too, but I only got a C cup, which is rather standard size. In fact people don't notice that my boobies are "store-baught"

There are also different types of implant shapes. she can go for a natural look, those are drop shaped.

but they don't have to look like this at all. maybe you can go with her to a surgeon appointment to get an idea of all the options.

I think if you love her and she wants to change some things about herself, you should support her. You can tell her she's beautiful every day for years but you can't make some believe it. Some people go so far as plastic surgery and it can be confusing to those around them. But often these people can't see themselves as they truly are. I don't think at this point there's much you could say to change her mind. When it comes time to getting the surgery, much like a man should when their partner is giving birth, just hold her hand and let her know you're there for her. Best of luck. :)

well me and my guy have been together for almost 3 years and i just recently decided that i wanted breast implants but not because of low self esteem. i am perfect and never had a problem with my body or looks and my guy is really upset with my decision but i really want them and already payed but i am so torn because my man hates them and plenty people say i don't need them so i have about 12 more days to think about it. you're in the same boat as my man he said he would deal with them if he have to but he really doesn't like them

Tell her this, ' I prefer the way you look and always will' not sure if that helps...

And tell her exactly how your feeling toowards this too.
