Forehead to forehead touching. What does it mean? Do you do it?

Me and my girlfriend sometimes like to touch our foreheads together and stare into each others eyes. It feels so good to do this with her but i'm not sure why. What does it mean to touch foreheads like this? And does anyone else do it.

My husband and I only ever really touch foreheads like that when we are cuddling, in between/after kissing and/or sex. But we look at each other for a little bit then just close our eyes and kindof just be in the moment together. It's just an intimate little moment to share I suppose, to make us feel close.
