That's a really hard question...
This is hard to say, but my assessment would be (and as respectfully as possible) that the guys that fawn over her don't really consider her marriage material... they're happy to flirt and play... and the short term costs of of her attitude and disposition are low to get what they want.
You, on the other hand, are (from my admittedly in depth knowledge of who you are - sarcasm) marriage material and therefore, much more of an investment of time and effort.
The issue here is neither you, nor your cousin. You're both different people with different wants and needs and changing who you are isn't the answer, it'll only make you miserable.
The issue is the guys in the example. You don't want their attention, they're boys that don't think you're worth their time... changing to attract their attention won't make you happy.
This opinion may not be all that reassuring... so, I'll try for that here. What I can tell you is that, for me, I'd far prefer sweet and assertive over high maintenance and bratty. Bossy is good (to me), as is controlling (if you ever feel that you are, it's okay), if you care, love, and trust the person and if he enjoys it all too.
There's a guy out there that'll give you the time and attention you deserve, assert that you deserve it, if sweetly. ;)

Well, not bossy, but leader characteristics is good. Especially in the long term, you want your woman to be able to sort out the messes you create, you know what i mean :D
There is even this idiom in Turkey, which chicken translates into
"a girl who can run the house". In Turkish culture, even though man is considered the boss, it is widely accepted that it's the woman who "runs" the house and being a leader is a good thing.
I do not like bossy people generally
I guess some people like because life is easier that way. Someone tells what to do and they do not need to think too much
I hate bossy people. I have a coworker who's so bossy, I can't stand her.

Personally no but I get the appeal, a woman who takes charge is a turn on for some guys. I honestly feel bad when I see guys who don't have control of their lives and their girlfriends/wives control what they do. I just avoid them as much as I can.
There is a difference between bossy and b. i. tchy but she sounds like both
I do not like someone bossy. Maybe guys like her if she gives a lot of sex
I like Tsunderes.
38.media.tumblr.com/.../...6fpbOj1snwc76o1_400.gifOn the surface no; it sounds like a bad thing. But yeah my wife now is pretty bossy. I guess I kind of like being dominated or having my decisions made for me, makes life a lot easier sometimes. Until she makes some stupid decision.
yeah that doesn't sound chill at all
Nice guys and nice girls finish last.
Maybe 3% love bossy women.
