So, basically.. I was chatting to this girl on OKCupid. We were getting along really well. We seemed to hit it off. Then I bring up my chances of dating her, and she says am I taller than you? I say yes, (I'm 5'5, and she's 5'7).. She then says "Sorry, the guy has to be taller. But we can still be friends" I was like "Sure" (I don't come on dating sites to find friends)..
Does 2 inches mean that much to you? 😂 It seems most girls reject me because I'm short. Believe me if I could be taller I would. I am who I am lmao.

Eh it's just a matter of preference. I'm 5'10 so you can imagine, this societal norm where the guy has to be taller was pretty disheartening on me. Imagining I'd be forever alone from as young as elementary because I was always tall and thought no one would ever want me because of that.
I only started embracing being a tall girl and making it work in my favour after I met my boyfriend. From the start, he said he actually loves tall girls more than short ones, mainly due to longer legs but just the whole leaner body look as a whole. Not to go off on too much of a 'pro-tall girls' tangent but we've been together for almost 2 years now and things couldn't be any better atm. Plot-twist; he's 2-3 inches shorter. :P
I do want the guy to be taller than me, but I'm only 5'0, so... it's not that tough. If he were shorter, he'd be a midget pretty much, and I don't want that. No offense to them.
Forget her. If she's going to be like that over two inches of height, she's not worth it.
I don't mind height, in fact only if a girl is extremely tall should she have to worry about a guy being taller. Although I am a short girl, so practically anyone is taller then me, I still wouldn't mind a short dude tho 😂
Never!! and I was with this fucking amazonian girl from sweeden lol.. No joke she was 6'5'' with bare feet and about 6' 7-8'' in heels.. I'm 6'2'' so im decent height but this chick was towering over me haha.. It was fun though, very very very long legs ;)
From what I have observed, most girls aren't willing to date guys shorter than them. I'm pretty short too (just 5'7"), so I never even try for girls taller than me. Because I already know their answer! :P
Yea it really does matter to them which is kinda sad tbh and shows how shallow someone is and isn't worth your time. Since this happens on a regular basis for guys I reject girls for not being under 5'3
I find short guys same atractive as tall ones. It depends on body. If he has hot body it can be any height. And you are not too short. Girl sounds she wasn't interested at all :/ If ypu are nice guy height woudn't matter.
I don't know any guys shorter than me tbh.. so I can't say anything. Besides, I don't think any guys would be shorter than me lol (referring to same age/older dudes)
Dated both girls shorter and taller than me. I am 5'11", the shortest one I dated is 5'2 now and the tallest is 6'0" (my current girlfriend, and is the only girlfriend taller than me). I cannot speak for all girls. You might want to ask @kaylaS91
Ideally I would want to date a girl the same height as me or a little bit shorter, I would even go a little taller. I wouldn’t reject someone based on height unless it was really tall or really short
