Why do upperclassmen guys go for the freshmen girls?

In my school, the juniors have been hitting on freshmen girls left and right. I was just wondering if there is something appealing about the 'fresh crop' every year. I have been curious about this. Even though I am sure that much of it is just one person wanting to date another, but it seems to me like there is a funny amount of junior boys who have come swooping in trying to land a freshman girl. Has anyone else observed this pattern in their school?

The jr and sr guys go after the cute incoming freshman coz we are basically fresh meat!

We are thinking it is so kewl to be in high school and jr and sr guys are 17 and 18 yo.
When they ask you out it is amazing coz they aren't dweeby 14 yo guys that are all pimples and only can talk about computer games.

There is this tingly feeling getting asked out by older guys AND you become really popular with your gfs that haven't even been kissed before!

From the older guys viewpoint, here are a new crop of girls, most of us finally getting taller, our boobs usually are getting "girl" big, and our hips are going from stick thin to sexy teen girl! AND we are so eager to go out with an older guy. we are over awed by the fact they are taller than us, don't have as many zits as 14 yo guys, they have muscles, they shave, and they are great kissers!

Lastly, us young girls are so trusting so it is easy to get us to make out and we are eager to have sex before we are actually ready (He loves me so i had sex with him).

Yep happens at my high school too. I am actually a junior right now but I am not trying for a freshman, I have recently liked more seniors nowadays. But anyways I think the reason for why junior guys are going for freshman girls is because they are inexperienced and might be easier to get to date them then their junior friends.
