Can I just say, I completely understand this.
I have the same trouble with my boyfriend. I don't mind if he takes a while to reply just so long as he lets me know like "I'm on a heist so may take a while to get back to you" or "I'm going out in a bit so may take a while to reply" but it frustrates me so much when he leaves in the middle of a fb convo with no explanation and replies hours later. I have spoke to him about it before because it makes me anxious too and he did start letting me know a few times but has since stopped.
I got fed up of having to say it one day so didn't reply to him for 2 hours so he could see how it felt and he didn't like that at all. He asked me "How long?" and wanted to know what I'd been doing. I did explain myself and apologize but said I would let him know the next time I would be a while so long as he did too.
What annoyed me today though was that he took 3 hours to get back without explanation until I confronted him about it and reminded him how he felt when I did that to him but then not long after he did it again and didn't reply for an hour again, without explanation. It can drive you insane although I am sort of used to it by now.
I would say try and talk to her about it in a tactful way or just get on with whatever like watching a movie, getting on with any tasks you need to do such as work or tidying, listen to music, read a magazine, play a game or whatever you like doing and just live your own life and do something to take your mind of it while you wait for a reply, heck even try and play that stuff back to her and she won't be able to complain because it's something she does herself. This is what I do if my boyfriend takes a while to reply.
Um.
No panic. She'll text if she wants to text, simple as that. If you want to send a message in a while asking her what's up and if she got your message, do, but if you still get no reply then maybe she''s bored of you.
Why not ring her and have an actual conversation on the phone? There could be a hundred reasons she didn't text back.
