Long Distance Relationship, guy puts NO effort in?

Okay, well me and my boyfriend of nearly five months are in a long distance relationship.

We see each other every weekend/every second weekend, but during the week we usually talk on MSN/AIM, the phone, or text.

Lately, My boyfriend has really not been putting the effort in.

I'm ALWAYS having to text him first, he takes 10+ minutes to reply to my texts, sometimes longer.

He never calls me, same thing as above. I'm always calling him, and he never calls me.

And there's a bit of a difference between time zones (about an hour) So I stay up later talking to him, but I'm in school and sometimes he's not online until anywhere from 10PM- 3AM in the morning. I can't stay up for him, and he won't log on any earlier.

It just seems like I'm the only one committed and putting effort into the relationship.

I mean, I have had a sinus infection for the last 5 days or so, and he hasn't texted me/called me once to ask me if I'm alright even though he KNOWS I'm sick. (I sent him a message on FB And he responded with "that sucks. :( "

Do I end the relationship? =/

If that bothers you, yes. You have justified the reason already (It doesn't feel like he is putting in effort).. But here's my guess as to WHY he's not putting in effort-> The fact that you're taking care of showing the effort; granted, in a true love relationship this will feel the same from both parties rather than the effort only coming from one direction.. But check this out:

- If you are always calling him, always initiating conversations, always texting him first, always messaging him, always looking for him, always trying to talk to him... etc.

-- He will know that he doesn't need to initiate these things with you, because it will happen due to you taking care of it.

At this point, I would walk away, but keep it in mind for your next relationship. Trying to get someone to change after this point is very difficult, because they already have the belief that you will take care of things.

Becuase if I don't call him then we'd never talk.

Yeah I know.. I would recommend moving on. There's no sense in waisting your time further if he can't be bothered to make a phone call himself. Imagine him doing his laundry or taking care of the house while your gone on vacation.. Lol.. expect it to be a disaster.

if he puts no effort in and your the one whos doing the majority of the work just dump him. if he cared he would act like it
