Not talking after a fight?

why do guys stop all communication with you after certain fights?its been a week and I still haven't heard from him, I know he has been busy with finals last week and he also has some this week, but its getting really hard not to contact him. ( I'm giving him his space and time to 'calm' down so I won't contact him until he does) we have been together for almost 2 years and been through plenty of ups and downs and we have done this before and he ends up coming around...but this time I'm having a hard time with it...advice would be helpful :)

See I'm going through that too. I got in a fight on Friday with my guy I talk to, and I haven't talked to him since. I'm waiting for him to talk to me but I'm scared his waiting for me to talk to him. It doesn't usually take that long for a guy to calm down or get over something if he really loves/likes the girl. If you are ready to talk to him or want to get it all figured out you should probably text or call or whatever you do first. To show that you really care. If it was your fault or his or both...It shows that you don't want to lose anything and want it all to work out. If it keeps happening over and over again though it might not be such a healthy relationship.

It has happened once before and he came around when I didn't contact him..he knows I want it to work. and I think he almost expects me to text him first or contact him first, and when I don't I hope he starts to wonder and contacts me. he is honestly my best friend and I don't want to loose him, its been like not being able to talk to your best friend and your boyfriend at the same time..it sucks. :/

The guys I'm pretty sure wants the girl to say something first. Sometimes that's just what needs to be done. If your hurting or sad that your not talking to him then you need to be the bigger person and talk to him first. Everything obviously need to be talked out or figured out.

His parents tell me not to contact hi until he does..i don't know who or what to believe

They consider me their daughter.and their goal is to see us work out....

Then I would say they see how bad he actually is and how mad me really is about whatever happened. They are trying to help you out by trying to keep you safe. I still say that if your hurting by not talking to him then you should call or text or whatever.....but its your call. You need to do what you feel like doing.

They know he is still upset he has been silent and hasn't talked to anyone really all week, but he has also been very busy all week with college classes, and his brothers friend was in town this weekend so he was busy with them which they are all for us working out too so I hope his brother talked some sense into him.....

Well then I guess that all you can really hope for if your not gonna talk to him first...

I was thinking of sending him a text tonight that just says, I'm sorry for what happened, I love you and I'm here when your ready to talk.....its something he doens't have to relpy to but it lets him know I'm still here?

That would be really good. Stalking first, so if that's what he wanted its done....Saying your still there....Saying ur ready to talk when he is....and if he still isn't ready he can just say somthing like..ok and then not respond after that.

Its something with that leaves things open....he can relpy or not but it lets him know the offer stands..and if he doesn't say anything then I will wait for him to come around

Its something that he can either relpy to, an open question...and if he doesn't reply then I will continue to wait to say anything again until he comes around but letting him know I'm still here and the offer is always open

I really wouldn't worry about it to much. I am sure he wondering the same thing. Also he can be playing games like the No Contact Rule. At the ed of the day space is always good it makes them realize what they like about you.

Must have been a pretty serious fight for you having gone a week without talking. Just let him come to you, don't act desp.
