Also, do you think "platonic love" can ever grow -- or evolve -- into romantic love (or "being in love") with someone?
Answer in your own words if you can. I'm not really looking for dictionary definitions here.
Platonic is like an admiration and appreciation kind of love. You love the person for who he/she is without the intention of having a deeper feeling for him/her. It can sometimes be thought of as a best friend type connection. Could be like someone loves someone else as a family member. That sounds weird, but you've heard it: "Love you like a brother." Or "You are just like the big brother/little sister I never had!"
Can it grow into more? Sure! Just got to make sure you're not friend zoned or thought of as part of the family. Lol
platonic love - friendships and relationships where you really care for someone but not sexual, more familial, like you look out and want the best for each other.
----feelings of comfort, warmth, security, and gratification
being in love - essentially the above, but also possibly sexual attraction too
----feeling a faster heartbeat, warmth, ease, joy
ahh they're similar and yes, i think platonic love can evolve to romantic love.
