Why am I attracted to broken girls?

I want to meet a nice good girl, but for some reason i keep getting attracted to the bad, crazy, broken girls. The kind where theyre alone and have been abandoned by their families. I dont know why i have such a big heart for these girls.

I did a bit of reaserach on this as i do find myself more attracted to broken girls, generally speaking we are attracted to broken girls beacuse we are in fact broken outselves and we believe that we can solve out 'brokeness' by helping out someone else who is broken beacuse we are scared to admit to ourselves that we are damaged and broken

However those relationships never last very long and until you learn to deal with your baggage and brokenness in your own way unfortunatley it'll keep sabotaging your realtionships.

White knighting -- it's a common male affliction. For a lot of guys, it feels good to rescue someone, to sweep them away, to be the hero. The thing is, if that's your thing and you meet someone who wants to be rescued, then it's like the perfect match. But in general, I sort of view it as a mental defect and think that you're probably better off looking for a normal girl where your relationship stands on equal footing.

That makes sense. Most of the girls I've comr across that are like that, dont want to be saved. At least thats what I've noticed

You feel bad for them, and you want to help them out. Which, isn't a bad thing.
It's also sort of programmes in you to be "the man." Maybe your version is trying to save girls that don't want to be saved?
The question is, why aren't you attracted to "good girls?"
If you answer that question, then you'll be steps closer to getting one.

I can get a good girl if i wanted. I have many options. It just so happens to be that the girl i want most is the one thst seems the less logical.

Well, I'm in a similar boat. I too, have all kinds of options, yet I want the loser.
What you need to do is tell yourself that you deserve better, and that it's okay to save someone as long as they want to be saved.
So when you feel the temptation to like who's the less logical choice, just tell yourself that and cut her off.

No problem. And I understand. I'm currently doing it now, and it hurts. But it makes more sense to stop yourself from hurting more than waste time on a person who isn't good for you. Right?
