I have learned that sex isn't as emtional tying to men as it is to women. Men get emotionally attached over a period of time, which is the logical reason. Now some men can get attached after a one night stand, but that is normally the guy that hasn't been with someone in a long time or is the shy type, basically no Mr. Woman attractant. But those men that have the charisma and charm that can easily get the 1 nighters won't get attached unless a time period has passed by and they have spent a significant amount of time with that one girl. So basically for a man to get attached he will just start to realize over time the wonderful things about her and the times they shared tying him emotionally to her. Its like we want sex, but deeper we are looking for that best friend.
It all depends on the girl. There were times when all I can think of is her then other times don't give it a second thought. Maybe it depends on the connection or if I have respect for her, I'm not sure. It's usually the ones you pick up at a bar or parties don't have much respect for. Now that I think about it when I was in my teens I use to get attached a lot but not so much anymore.
It's not logic, but hormones, that do it. When women have sex, they release hormones that are the same that are released when they give birth. It creates a bonding sensation that could potentially make you feel quite bonded to even the most jerkiest of one night stands.
Absent that hormonal connection, we would be like guys. We would not get attached from sex but only from having an emotional connection to someone, and emotional connections do not come from one night in the sack.

Culturally speaking, a key that opens many locks is a master key. A lock opened by many keys is a sh*tty lock.
I think all men, if not all people can separate emotion from sex, but because it is considered a bad thing to do they "fake it till they make it".
