Here's the thing, this interest in gothic culture extends to your fashion as well as your outlook on things. Whether you take it seriously, or whether you're like a teenager, the vibe at the end of the day is either that of immaturity/anti-socialism, or oddity. Depending on how you dress that varies, but for the most part while I could find a gothic woman attractive, they aren't really the kind of girl I would feel like I understand right away, and I have no idea what to expect; a normal girl with different interests, or a weird and likely kinky/occult dork?
If I were you I would make an effort to show that you're a person all the same. I don't know if that should extend to your style of clothes, but when you are around others try to show your relate-able side more, at least at first, so that whomever you meet can better accept this "dark" interest you have.
Think of it this way... if your best friend since 5th grade comes at you with a new very different interest she now has, you are likely to think "well this is strange, but whatever it's just *friend's name*" and you go on being friends with them. But if someoene you never knew came up to you with the same interests, you might think they're a freak and avoid them (even if they're hot lol). Maybe I rambled but let me know if this helps.

I find attractive goths attractive. I don't think ugly girls in goth apparel are more attractive than they'd otherwise be. Well, not be, in this case. Ohhh. (Finally read the entire question.) Intelligent, well-read women? Well yeah. I'm also rather morbid myself, given that I think the best way to avoid the worst parts of our nature is to immerse ourselves in it, see it for what it is and gain a proper respect/fear of it. Avoiding it and pretending it isn't there is not the answer. It has nothing to do with what I wear though.
I don't know if they would but I think it's sexy. I've secretly always wanted to be immersed in that subculture.

Hi Fabulous25.
I believe in be who you are. If you are doing what you like and it makes your life great. Then by all means go for it. I myself have always found Goth women to have a very beautiful side to them that others do not recognize. I also look at the dark side as also a place of beauty. I find overcast days to hold more mystery than sunny days. I salute who you are. I also believe that we as a people also look at folks as being like books. Always being judged by their cover. And for the response about if a friend of mine from the 5th grade came up to me dressed in Goth. My only reaction would be> Now that's what i am talking about. Be happy with your life. If others cannot understand it then i feel really bad for them. Why can't we just accept people for who they are. And from what you have written. You sound like a very beautiful person. Bless you.Nothing wrong with goth girls.
