Well this guy used to tease me and make me feel bad, then outta the blue he asked me out. I didn't like him so I said no and the next thing I know, everyone is looking at me weird and some of my girl friends from his grade are not talking to me at all! A week or so later I found out that he told everyone I slept with him!? He's popular and the rumors spread throughout the whole school! No one would look at me in the eye or want to be friends with me anymore. I'm almost 3 years younger than him, I don't even understand why he's taken sudden interest in me.
I ignored it all..these rumors went to my parents AND the principal and my mom knows about all of this already. My dad was going to beat the sh*t out of the guy but then he just let it slip and told me to distance myself from these guys and ignore everyone who mistreats me.
A month later everything died down and everyone starts talking to me normally again. Then suddenly last week everyone is acting weird again. My best friend won't even talk to me.
Plus he and his friends have been harassing me and surrounding me and my friends.
I'm not afraid of the guy. He's skinny, and given, older, but I don't think he can overpower me and at one point we were friends. I know he isn't the kinda guy whos considering rape or whatever. He's actually a nice guy but he's been really rude and mean to me the past year. Now he's spreading stuff and making me look bad.
I don't know what to do.. why do guys even do this? He's 18, I would expect a little more maturity..what is he trying to achieve by spreading rumors? ANd how do I deal with this? Thanks...
