I have no intention in making him jealous, but just out of sheer curiosity, do you think he will get jealous? Or get mad? I don't know if I want to date his best friend yet... and we just broke up a month ago. It used to be all three of us hanging out together, but now my ex doesn't talk to me and when it's "all three of us" I try to ignore the fact that he's standing right beside us and I talk to his best friend. Anyway, is it like against the bro code to date your bestfriend's ex girlfriend? ... Also, I'm good friends with a girl who also really likes this guy, and she's also best friend's with my ex.. so I don't know how this'll turn out O___O All that, AND he's younger than me... T.T

It depends on what kind of person your ex is! Is he understanding, or a jealous type?

However he will respond, you're not together anymore, and you're free to do what you want. BUT. If you do, you should take in consideration what sort of effect it will have on the people around you (your ex, your friend) and take responsibility for it. If you can't, you shouldn't get yourself in that situation.

It does sound a little bit like you wanting to date his best friend is more about your ex than about his friend though.. do you really like this guy or what?

Yes I think I really like his best friend... but it's Christmas vacation, so I haven't seen my ex in two weeks, and I think I'm over him now, but when we get back to school and I see him again, it might bring back memories... :/

i went through this situation just a little different, me and my ex broke up and I started hanging out with his best friend just in a friendly manner and things happened and he fell in love but it ended up in disaster.! too close for comfort and it just causes more drama.! I believe you should find someone else that doesn't have a relation to your ex.! play it safe.!

he fell way too hard for me and the more I hung out with him, I would hear my ex's name and he would be around and I just wanted to be with my ex again. I used him as a rebound and I ended up hurting someone who cared for me deeply, I should have never started something so quickly. don't transfer your feelings even if you think your not. take it very slow. it's a friendship first so it's delicate.!

No matter what your ex say, he's going to look at his best friend, and feel like he was eyeing you all along. I would never trust a friend who does some sort of thing like that to me. It's like dude so you liked her when she was going out with me...

Even if he dumped you, he'll still get jealous and mad. Now, that's not rational, but feelings are not rational. Now, you may subconsciously be attracted to his best friend specifically because it has kind of a forbidden feel to it or because you want your ex to be jealous... in which case it would mean that you're not completely over him and you want to either make him want you back or make him regret dumping you. I won't tell you not to do it, but just analyze your motives beforehand.
