Boyfriend verses boy friend?

Sorry for the length of this question! But I will award best answer to who helps me out the most, though. : )

Q/N: *To enforce the anonymity of my question, I have changed the names of the people involved!

So, I have a boyfriend named *Alex. We've been dating for a couple months now, and so far, we've had a lot of issues. He's told me that he doesn't give a f--- about me, he can be quite the immature one, he goes and smokes/drinks when we fight and that just makes him an even angrier person, he's extremely one-sided and unreasonable. I'm guessing the unreasonable trait is because he's from Europe and so being foreign to the US, hasn't had much experience with basic ways of person-to-person interactions here.

Well, in the summer, he's going to Europe for 4 months and suggests that we could be able to last through it. My response? Highly unlikely. In fact, I don't think I'm going to be able to last with him from now until June, when he leaves. However, he does live down the street from me right now so dating him is convenient.

HERE is where things get tricky. There is a boy named *Nick who was a senior at my high school when I was a freshman. We were in a couple of the same extra-curricular classes and talked often times. Well, he made contact with me last year and we've been talking non-stop every single day since. I've been told by his best friend that he talks about me a lot and really likes me, and also had a lot of interest in me 4 years ago, when I was a freshman and he was a senior. So, *Nick has apparently liked me for about 6 months now, and I think I'm starting to like him. *Nick has also been flirting with me a lot, saying he wishes he was closer to me and wishes he could show me how good I could have it with him verses how bad I have it with my current boyfriend. (He's 2-3 hours away for college which is the only problem.)

And believe me when I say, it's hard to resist *Nick. While I was an average high schooler, he was his class' prom king. I feel guilty saying this but he is easily one million times more respectful, understanding, and even more attractive than *Alex.

Anyways, any advice on what I do about this?
