Why does he act like he hates me so much?

HE broke up with me. claiming he no longer loved me

Broke MY heart.

we have to see one another everyday at uni, yet he's the one who can't be friends with me; he ignores me, refuses to talk to me, acts jumpy and awkward when I'm around, pretends to be bored when I say hey to him and runs away... yet stares at me a lot so I think he WANST to talk to me... then he blows me off when I do! Its been a year since the break up now - what's going on- I'm so sick of it now!

we used to be great friends before the relationship - he said he hoped ending the relationship would make it easier to go back to that yet THIS is how he's acting. Especially since I got a new boyfriend - he won't even talk to him really now... they ere friends when we were dating...

What is going on here?

You got a boyfriend + he still have feelings for you + you seem to be doing fine without him (although he wanted you to feel miserable without him) +you moved on while he didn't + he has behavior al issues = anger, resentment, jealousy and hatred towards you.

Please ignore him and don't even say Hi. This guy will destroy will life with his lame behavior .

thanks for the reply, I really do wonder if he has feelings left - do you think that's what is making him act like this? surely he'd jump at the chance to talk to me/ be friendly if he still liked me in some way - though your analysis does make sense - lol sorry for questions , I'm probs being dumb here x

You're a beautiful intelligent girl :) Having feelings for you doesn't mean he LOVES you because you & I know that if he did he would have treated you well and kept you for himself. He certainly loves the IDEA of you because probably you're too good for him.

He messed up! Probably still had feelings for you but didn't have the guts to tell you (esp after doing the dumping).

I wouldn't really expect him to be that friendly with your current boyfriend esp if they were friends before. It always seems a little disrespectful for friends to date exes and takes a long time for poeple to accept this!

when I say friends I mean they knew each other before- they weren't close friends at all - I wouldn't ever do something so spiteful as to get with a close friend of his. They didn't know one another very well but they would talk in a friendly way occassionally is what I ment

haha your better than my ex then! Either way if he still has feelings for you he's not really going to be particularly interested in talking to him or you until he gets used to the idea or is able to accept it. It's his problem not yours, don't worry so much about it!

thanks. Though I assumed if he had feelings for me he would have told me by now - but I guess seeing as I have someone else, he's absolutely rubbish at expressing emotion etc as a rule he wouldn't do it :\ he told a friend about 8 months back that was finding things really much harder than he thought he would, they told him to talk to me and he said he couldn't because he's just not like that... its not something he does easily - do you think he might pretend to hate me to hide his feelings?
