Do most women have any respect for male virgins?

My friend's theory on this is that women see male virgins as unmanly and pathetic. My take is that if a man is obviously voluntarily a virgin it should tell a woman he is better marriage material because he's less likely to cheat, having turned down casual sex without consideration to loyalties to anything other than his own morals.

After all if a man won't cheat on himself, why would he cheat on a woman?

I'd prefer it over a non virgin. First of, that man would have some serious self control (good).

It would also mean that that man, if he is waiting til marriage anyway, truly wants you for who you are and not just your body (good)

Also the obvious things like he'd have a higher chance of being free of stds.

It's true he wouldn't have much experience, but that means different things to different people. I feel that in the long run it wouldn't matter for many women, especially if the woman he was waiting to lose it to was also a virgin. I'm s virgin myself and I don't knowwhat to expect as being good or bad in bed so I assume the same is true for other virgins :p

I think it's great if a man is a virgin, it shows that he is pure and clean. And also that he has the strength to say no to sex. I would rather have a boyfriend who is a virgin and clean, than one that have had sex with lots and lots of girls, but in the long run it does not really matter if he is a virgin or not, as long as he does not have any STD:s. And also, if he is older(lets say 20) and is still a virgin he will most likely take responsibility to his actions if something went wrong; such as the condom broke and the girl got pregnant. I think an ex-virgin would handle that situation waaay better than a guy who have had sex with lots of girls... But then again, it totally depends on the guy :)

yesss! I am really attracted to virgins moreso than non-virgins. I think it says a lot about a guy and makes them even more attractive. I hope to marry a virgin in my future. I'm a virgin and not ashamed of it so a guy shouldn't be ashamed of also being a virgin. It tells me that you have self-control and that you are not a player who will break my heart.. I really don't think so; in my experience virgins are seen as not manly enough, and wusses with no skills to get girls attracted to you...Its one thing what women say and another what they do, two different things.

It depends on how you carry yourself and if you say there hasn't been any women of interest for you and that you are doing it until you find the right woman then that should be fine. I have seen many girls who aren't virgins that fall for a guy that is. I think it depends on what person you are looking at.

I have huge respect for male virgins! I am a virgin waiting for marriage and it seems that most guys aren't waiting anymore,I want to marry a virgin guy so we can give our virginity to each other!
