This guy and I have been on four dates or so. He asks me to sit with him and his friends at lunch. He sits next to me during class. Goes out of his way to talk to me. We've made out before but I've made it very, very clear that nothing farther than that is happening unless he's my boyfriend. He holds doors and stuff like that. Everything is fine. Here's the thing. There's another guy who wants to take me on a date. I don't want to wait for this other guy if he's never going to ask me to be his girlfriend. But I feel guilty if I went on two dates on the weekend, you know? I like the first guy but have the potential to like the other for sure.

Well, first if the guy you've already dated hasn't made it official than you shouldn't feel bad about going out on a date with another guy, just let him know about it and let him know that it doesn't change anything. As for how many dates before it becomes official; it all depends on what you're both comfortable with. Personally to me its when you've both made that commitment because without that the relationship will definitely fall apart.

In my opinion hmmm don't date both you might jeopordize the relationship, and also I don't think it is the number of dates per say...i like to go by the time that you have known each other...two months its a good amount of time before it becomes oficial. The reason for that in my opinion, is that you not only get to know him on dates, but also how he is around his budds and doing other stuff you know?

We've been dating for a month, he's in my language course so since about September I've 'known' him. He asked me if I wanted to get some ice cream over text. That might have been hanging out more than a date though. He paid for everything and drove me.
