Yes I do. God's WILL will always be done, but even though he knows how he wants things to turn out, it's all done by our own free wills. There's no way we can ever hope to understand that. Like before the creation of the world he knew what choices each person was going to make and he was able to put people in the right places at the right time based on their own free wills that he knew they were going to make. But I don't believe in predestination that has to do with no matter what we do there will be a certain specific outcome. We have free will and make our own choices and are put to the test just like the Angels were and Adam and Eve. This is where because of everyone's free will out choices conflict with each others so often when there's not harmony. But it is just amazing how one person makes a choice and another one makes a choice unbeknown to the other and because of their mutual choices they end up falling in love at a very young age, and their history takes them to be married 65 years before one of them dies. Strangely enough, the other one dies within a day later.

No, I do not believe in fate or destiny. Every outcome of every aspect of our lives is completely determined by ours and other peoples actions at the time. I do not believe we are born with a "timeline" in front of us, only behind us.
The future is not written, remember that the greatest plan lasts until the first arrow leaves the bow.
If destiny and fate did exist, that would mean that God would be involved in the making of it. If this were true, and he did plan out each individule's life before they were born, let me ask this: Why did he make some people do terrible things? Gengis Khan, Julious Ceasar, Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden... Why would the Lord program these men to do what they did? What they did goes against every religion I know of.
No, we make our own destiny, and it is constantly shifting, nobody ever has a "set" outcome until it acctually happens, and that outcome is determined only by choices that we make, and the actions and reactions of our surroundings.
i believe in destiny/fate. because there are some things which do happen without ur having to do anything about them, and those things will also happen if you do something about them...i am not saying that you shouldnt do anything to get what you want-but that god always gives a sign.
i don't think there can be coincidences a huge no. of times.
the biggest problem is that no one can ever know this.its a very ambiguous position.
perhaps ur unaction was the action you were supposed to take to get through a particular situation...1 can never know for sure what it is,except through belief.
its ur own belief..and every1 is entitled to their own, right?
I do think there are a lot of aspects of religion which are problematic, but there are those whch are purely practical as well..no1 seems to contest them..just because people don't understand something, doesnt mean they can condemn it.
the question I ask is this:if for instance,we can't prove the presence of something like fate or destiny in our lives, we can neither prove its absence,do we?
i don't know if I do but I did have something really weird happen. my friend hooked up with this one guy one night he was with his brother that I met we went to eat some where real wuick while they did there thing. we bearly even talked that night didn't exchange numbers or any thing so 2 years pass by I always saw this hot ass guy in the club we statrted talking and seeing each other when I came to visit then I don't know one day I was like this guy looks like the one from 2 yeas ago that my friend hooked up with his brother so I started asking him if he has a brother, if had a black car he was yes how do you know so I refreshed his memory we both were tripping out how we ran into each other after 2 years hooked up never knew we even met each other before.
Ok so I believe that everything does happen for a reason. I also believe that there is greater plan set out for everyone and everyone is meant to get to a certain point in their lives. They are meant to accomplish certain things, learn certain things, meet certain people, etc. But I do not believe every detail is pre-planned. If God wants to teach me a lesson about something he is going to but he is going to plan out how I will learn it. My own life decisions and choices will lead me to the lesson in my own way, because that is the only way that is will mean something to me. So yeah everything happens for a reason, but no, you're life wasn't planned out.

I totally believe that everything happens for a reason and there is no such thing as coincidence but I do not believe that my life was planned out for me. For example, I don't believe that God had planned for me to walk to the art store at 1:00 this afternoon to buy blue paint.
An occurance that I think illustrates my belief is this: Almost 3 years ago I had a seizure while driving and blacked out, drove head-on into oncoming traffic, and collided my small car with a very large truck. My car was totalled beyond recognition. My front end was totally crushed, windows were shattered, glass was everywhere. I had to have my door cut off so the paramedics could get me out. I should have died. There was no way someone could have survived that accident and yet I walked away without even a miniscule scratch on me. I don't know why my life was spared but there has to be a reason why I survived my accident when a few months prior a man in a similar situation ended up decapitated. No - no interesting stories but I just believe in fate and destiny! I'm a big fan of destiny because I just believe that these things do happen to us for a reason! That's what keeps me going everyday that when a great thing happens - it was meant to happen and it will be your choice to set it free!
Well as the minority here - I don't believe in fate/destiny. I think it's interesting that someone below has the same reasons for believing in it that I have for not believing in it.
believing that I am in complete control of where I end up in life is what drives me in life. Otherwise, what's the point of even getting up in the morning or making choices?I don't think that our lives are written out for us ahead of time. I do believe that things happen for a reason. For example. I have survived many events that I should not have. I should have died statistically and logically speaking. Same goes for my father. Not only that but I believe in what we do today will affect and effect us tomorrow. Everything that I have done in my life came back with repurcussions both good and bad.
i think I just believe in fate. like if you didn't go somewhere, or if your friend didn't make you go somewhere, then something wouldn't have happened. like if you didn't go to some party that you met the guy you loved at, then you would still be alone.
(vote a)Fate and destiny are synonymous terms. Perhaps a comparison of fate vs. self-determination would be more applicable.
Man creates his destiny ans calls it fates.
If you are destined for something you are bound to get it.
But that doesn't mean I don't do anything for it.
For instance like I am destined for a good meal but I make no efforts to attend the party.I just posted a question about that. Its under relationships and the title is Destiny or BIG coincidence? good story on there too.
I write my own destiny
