My boyfriend only calls me cutie? Does it mean anything?

Just wondering does it mean anything if my boyfriend only calls me cutie? I find the term cute as something you call a baby. I would like him to see me as beautiful or pretty but he only says cutie. Any ideas why?

I think it's mostly only girls that pick apart these words and definine them all differently because I asked my boyfriend and he said to guys it's all the same thing, beautiful, pretty, cutie either way they like you.

its just a term of endearment. he thinks you're beautiful. maybe he just likes to say cutie. I have some pretty ridiculous terms of endearment myself.
