Me and my boyfriend have been dating for just over a year, it is a LONG distance relationship, very long flight. We met travelling and decided to keep it going. We saw each other at Christmas and now I'm living with him for 4months until I go home to finish studying. Just so you know I also have trust issues which I am aware of - I caught my ex texting other girls.
My boyfriend is very protective over his phone, even takes it to the bathroom in the middle of the night - he likes Facebook so I guess he likes to look at that. I have a problem with it but I guess that's paranoia from a previous relationship.
He got a phone call in the middle of the night, he hung it up and said was one of his mates, the next morning I peeked at his call list and there was no call from the night? (yes I know I shouldn't have looked - bad girlfriend) so he deleted whoever called him? I didn't confront him because I shouldn't have looked at his phone in the first place. Couple nights later he got a text quite late, he said his friend(who he had been texting earlier) had sent through a text twice - so I looked again and his friend hadnt? I turned into a paranoid freak and when he left his Facebook on and I saw he had a private message from a girl he met travelling before me (who had a thing for him) asking to Skype? she's also from a different country and this message was also deleted.
Finally he got a text in the middle of the night so I looked and it was from this girl it said something about missing his call? I can't remember exactly. He deleted it so the next morn so I confronted him. I asked him if he had been texting her and he denied it? I don't even know her so he knew he had been caught out and still lied about it? he then gave in and said that it was a one off and she had been with their friend chatting about him so they dropped a text to say hi. we then also had an argument about trust so I didn't confess about my other stalking.
We have been OK since but it keeps bothering me. Why did he feel he had to lie to me? If he is hiding stuff from me when I'm in bed with him can I trust him when were apart and I go home? I know she's in another country but so am i? So what find of relationship is he having with her, webcam sex and stuff? I don't know. I just don't want to waste my time. Help.
