I like this close guy friend of mine so much that I am willing to be the first one to confess. A week before Valentine's day, I made chocolates and told him that I was afraid that I won't be able to see him on vday, so I am passing him these chocolates now ( reason being, I was actually afraid of him rejecting me on vday and thus can't pass him the gift). He said thank you, and we continued to hang out together the next few days, with no mentioning about what happened.
Then on vday, he came to pick me up from university (he said he had to pick up some documents from the university), and he asked me if I had any place I wanted to go... and we ended up hanging out in a mall, window shopping. When we went home, he drove me to his house to pass me chocolate strawberries as a gift.
After that, neither of us mentioned anything about vday, and the things we did for each other. Do you think it is safe for me to think that he sees me more than a friend? Or is he just being polite by reciprocating my gift?
He is leaving abroad to look for a job soon, and I am not sure if this affects the way guys react to a girl's confession... like, will they hold back just because they are not financially stable?
