I think its more about being very naiive that creates that whole illusion and magical sense of being in love for the first time. you have never had your heart broken, you haven't felt great emotional pain caused by a lover, you feel all these new and amazing sensations and you associate it all with this person. Some people may not treat their second lover well if perhaps they were hurt in an old relationship, or have a lot of emotional baggage etc. If they were with their first "love" for an extended period of time then I am assuming it was more than mere infatuation and they were in love. I don't think it matters if you are someones first, second etc etc. although I think I would not actually want to be someones first love. I would want to be with someone who knows what it is like to feel heartbreak, who treasures the good times because they know how bad it can feel to go through bad times. who really appreciates what you have to offer because their know your good and loving qualities are rare in other people. being someones first love can to me almost be insulting. its like are they just infatuated by me?

so id say this, all I want to be is someones first AND last love. I know that there a guys out there who will make a girl feel that way, and no my expectations aren't too high for anyone who decides to hate on me:P being someones first and last love means they devote their heart to caring for me and being mine till the end of our days. that's what marriage is supposed to b about. thing with me is, I never dated until I found someone I knew I could marry and would want to marry me.

id never let myself b someones second or even third love unless I was so into that person and I knew id b the last love. even so I wouldn't do that.

Well I think people fall in and out of love. First love tend to be ideal dream. Like when I was 10 and oh I thought the boy was perfect but the truth is it will never work. Second love is when you fall again in love. Love is really a brain chemical reaction. For example, imagine falling in love with one girl on an island. You told her you need to find land so you get in your boat and then a storm happened and you land in another island. This time you know you will never leave this island and you met a girl. Do you still always think about the first love or do you try to make this love worth because knowing you can never go back (to say the past)?
I think in life, to love is good. My brother loves a girl in another country, when he went back after college, she was married with 5 kids, lol. Do he hanging to the hope that she will divorce and fall in love with him? No, he move on. I think it is better if you can make it work together that in the long ran is true love.
well I wouldn't care, but if I had to choose it would be first love.
