Ladies, do you prefer your men with tattoos or clean cut?

As time goes on you see plenty of women say how much they love men with tattoos but of course you don't often recognize women saying I love men without tattoo's or I hate tattoos. I think everyone has always thought about what they would get if they did get a tattoo but some prefer to stay clean cut. I personally have thought about my own but I don't want to get tired of looking at my tattoo when it gets old to me or my style or interests change.

If you do like your men with tattoos, please comment how many or how much coverage you like to see and where you like to seem them the most.

I have a feeling the normal age group of people on this site might play a huge factor in the statistics, but lets see what happens.

Great answers everyone, very interesting views. It's also interesting to see the poll balance between clean cut/All natural skin and a few tattoos/medium coverage. It looks like those who prefer tattoos like them having more than one.

It depends I'm not really the biggest fan of tats, one or two is okay with me. I hate when tatoos are all over your bodery single spot.

But, I saw this really hot guy, and he had a decent amount of tatoos, saw them on his arm, could be more. I foundit so attractive, he made it work. This guy was GEORGEOUS! He had an amazing skin tone, like it was glowing, had a nice smile, seductive look, love the way he lcked his lips, and he had the prettiest eyes that I ever seen! With his snap back, shirt, jeans, jordans. He was just so hot! Then he asked my age and I wanted to cry, said see you in 3yrs =( On the upside one year and some months to go =D

I really don't care if he has one or two or three. It's not about the number, it's about the look. I don't really the arms totally covered and the legs done and the side and back too...I think some nice tattoos are nice...haha I don't know exactly how to word that better.

Hmmm there are exceptions to the full coverage thing because a man came into my job once had he had a great large tattoo on his arm and that just goes to show quality of a large quantity can change a girl's mind u.u

I don't care if it's visible either...he doesn't have to hide it in public like some great secret :P

I don't really have a preference when it comes to tattoos. I don't mind either way. If they have tattoos, awesome. We can talk about tattoos in depth then. If they don't have tattoos, that's awesome too because then it's something that would be different about us.

Now that I think about it, I like the look of one person having tattoos in the relationship and the other doesn't. Is that weird? haha

I have tattoos and my boyfriend doesn't and I have to say, I like it that way. But if and when he gets tattoos, that's fine too :)

Maj, that doesn't sound weird to me at all. I can understand it in a sense of the appeal of contrast.

Kairon, I didn't add a show results option because if you look at the bottom I asked the guys to select what they have or are planning on getting. I did this so the ladies can be entertained as well by what the majority of men here do. I'm hoping to get a big turnout on this question so people can see and read more peoples views on this.

In my opinion, it depends on their cultural and religious back grounds. But most usually don't care as long as its not offensive, is unique, looks good, and your personality stands out with some things you are passionate about. Although I have six already, I plan on having way more. They all have their own meaning, and I could write an essay about them all. I got five the first month, and the sixth one a few. Months ago, to maybe five.

I love both. Artistic tattoos can make a guy sexier, but that doesn't mean I'm not super attracted to a guy with clean skin.

I'd rather a guy with no tats then a guy with crappy tats.

I love medium to heavy coverage - but no facial tats. Sleeves, back pieces, etc - incredibly sexy.

The guy I like now has no tattoos, nor any intention of getting any. Doesn't affect my attraction to him at all.

Nice answer. Describe your definition of artistic tattoos, are they ones that are complex and possibly tell a story? Do you include tattoos that are just about regular things that define a person like a music note, heritage flag, divers flag, or some hobby?

I'm in the minority in that I don't think tattoos have to have meaning for me to appreciate them, there are some pieces that I adore because they are art. Artistic tattoos are the detailed, complex ones that are just a marvel to look at. The regular tats are fine too, and meaning always makes the tattoo more significant.

For example, I have my entire upper back covered. At first glance the tattoo has no meaning, but in reality I have incorporated a lot of things that have symbolism.

I've always considered the shoulders and a back piece in the top center as the best spots for tattoos I've thought about.

I prefer guys with some tattoos or at least guys who like tattoos, because I'm planning to get one myself in the near future. I'm just waiting to see if I still like the design after a year, before permanently putting it on my skin. So it'd be a turn on to have a guy who could enjoy tattoos and piercings with me.

I'm not a fan of hand, neck and face tattoos though. They always turn out wrinkly and the knuckle tattoos are especially cheesy (like they think they're gangsta or something).

No tattoos is ideal to me, but minimal tattoo coverage (no more than two or three small tattoos) won't be a deal breaker for me as long as I find them tasteful. But lots of tattoos, or tattoos that are icky to me, I would have a really hard time putting up with.

I honestly don't have a preference. I am attracted to men with and without tattoos. The only time I am not attracted to someone with tattoos is if it covers half or more than half of their body (especially their face or neck). I have nothing against men who choose to cover all of their bodies with tattoos, but I lose physical attraction.

I have one tattoo on my foot so ,I'm not going to be hypocrital and say no tattoos. As long as the tattoo is meaningful and not a drunken mistake I'm okay with it. I'm attracted to Guys for their personalities not looks.

A little body art can't hurt, it's not a preference nor a deal breaker for me. I mean if you happen to have a tattoo, great, if not, that's cool too, that's not something I specifically go for just because they have ink on their body.

Interesting, so it sounds like you like more of the idea of the tattoo rather than the tattoo itself. It seems like the tattoo makes the guy seem more like a rebel or "bad boy" in your view. That's what I'm getting from your answers at least.
