Ok getting to basics my boyfriend keeps calling me a wimp.
He jokingly insults me all the time and says he wants me to stand up to him. Sometimes he has even started arguments on purpose so I will argue back at him.
The other day he just blurted out he hated what I was wearing in the car. I said it that was a bit hurtful of him and he said well stand up to me, stop being such a wimp.
I told him that someone had been really nasty to me at work. He said no they weren't, grow some balls and stop being a wimp.
When we were playing monopoly, I started winning, and he started to get really moody. I said away sorry Hon, as he gave me money and he replied don't you f****** dare back down, stand up to me. I said its just a game calm down. Suddenly he swiped the board then got up and quite aggressively dragged me into the bedroom to have sex with him.
I got so sick of the petty arguments he would start and all the insults. One day I was just quietly singing to myself not bothering him and he just randomly told be to shut up. Then he went on a full rampage of how stupid I was because I can't put a bathroom light off. So decided to stand up to him and I screamed at him and told him off. I said if he we ever spoke to me like that again I'd walk. He was in shock and he broke down in tears. Later he said I shouldn't have done that.
What?! I don't get it. I know it isn't normal but what kind of man treats a girl like this? I thought most guys would like a nice girl.
There are glimmers of kindness there, the guy I fell in love with, but sometimes it's like being with Jekyll and Hyde.
