I've personally never felt right dating someone that was older than me, It always felt like she was trying to control me and that she was the "more experienced" one. It can work, after all, age is simply a number" but you have to be careful. I wouldn't worry too much about the 2 year difference. you should be fine.

I've dated guys that have been 2 years younger than me. Some of them were okay, and the others weren't. The ones that didn't really work was because they were too immature. So go for it if you like him, just make sure you guys are on the same maturity level, that's all that really matters. Good luck.
