Abuse can come in many forms and can happen within families, friendships and romantic relationships- and can happen to both men and women Here are the different types of abuse:

• Physical abuse - Not only hitting. They might restrain you or throw objects. They might pinch or shove you and claim it’s a ‘joke’.
• Psychological abuse - Includes name-calling, threats and manipulation, blaming you for the abuse or ‘gas-lighting’ you.
• Financial abuse - Controlling your access to money or resources. They might take your wages, stop you working, or put you in debt.
• Sexual abuse - Doesn’t have to be physical. They might manipulate or coerce you into doing things you don’t want to do.
• Coercive control - When an abuser uses a pattern of behaviour over time to exert power and control. It is a criminal offence.
• Tech abuse - They might send abusive texts, demand access to your devices, track you with spyware, or share unwanted images of you online.

I used to work on a facility helping abused women and children (at times men too).

Long ago, one scumbag (typical controlling, manipulative abuser type) tried accessing the facility without permission. He wanted to take one of our clients. He was all tough until he noticed I was at a position of authority, our conversation was recorded and I was packed. All of the sudden, he leaves. We never heard from him again.

Over the years I've noticed violent people tend to avoid:
- Stronger people that can beat them
- People of authority that can get them fine and put to jail
- Someone that's packed
- Someone they can't charm nor persuade at all, someone that doesn't back down
- Someone they can't turn into a victim

Base on what I've concluded abusers are nothing but cowards. Abusers won't slap their boss or supervisors for those same obvious reasons too. Do you agree abusers are cowards?
