I'm bored and since I learn about this case I want to see people opinions of who could have done this murder. I'm going to talk about the case in this mytake and some theories (the one I think and other ones that I saw online).
To start off Peaches was found on June 28,1997 at Hempstead Lake State Park, Lakeview New York. The reason she was call Peaches was due to her peach tattoo which is shown below:
She was found by a hiker in a wooded area, in a rubbermaid container also with a red towel and a floral pillowcase. They only found her torso, first found at the west side of Lake Drive, 200 years north of Peninsula Boulevard. Her head, arms, legs (below the knees) were never found at this point (this will be bring up later in the mytake). Her death was listed as a homicide and it was believed her cause of death was due to decapitation. What the police did in 1997 was that they post a picture of her tattoo in a national tattoo magazine to see if an artist will claim the art. An artist did claim tattooing a peach tattoo a year earlier on a young black woman. Who he believed was 18 to 19 years old, he didn't know much about her other that she is from the Bronx or from Long Island. She was only in Connecticut due to having issues with her boyfriend (where the artist was). She came with 2 other women during this session her aunt and her cousin. But since then there was no new information or updates with the case, Years went by. In 2011, remains have been found later to be call "Jane Doe 3" found at Jones Beach State Park. On December 13, 2016 the police has found out that Jane Doe 3 matched to Peaches (making it, the rest of her body). A child remains was found in 2011 also, at east of Cedar Beach. Later DNA test reveal that Baby Doe was Peaches's daughter. With this new information its look like Peaches could had been murder by the Long Island serial killer.
Theories
Not that many people really talk about this case, but what look like is that people believe that Peaches was a prostitute and she got the peaches tattoo as a way for her pimp to "stamp" her as his own. Many believe this theory due to the fact a decade later a woman in the same fashion with a Cherries tattoo (later to be call Cherries) was found murdered in the area as well. Making people believe a pimp was murdering his prostitutes for some reason.Many people believed that all the killings in the area (various murders of young women occurred over the years) were all connected or all the victims somehow know each other. But there no indication that Peaches was in sex work at all since no one knows who she is. But my theory is that I believe the father of Baby Doe is the reason why Baby Doe and Peaches are dead. Sure it is possible that she in sex work and a client could have killed her. But how would her pimp or her client know or get in contact with the child? sure she could have brought her murderer to her house for a session and he killed her and the child there. Or she was living with her pimp and he killed her and the child. But why would a pimp kill her? he not making money then? doesn't seem likely and this murder was planned out. Seems to planned out for a pimp, a pimp probably doesn't have the time or energy to actually decapitate, and figure out how to get the body parts in different areas and make sure to cover his tracks. But the question is why isn't Baby Doe father looking for her? sure it's possible he a deadbeat but if he had multiple women pregnant maybe it would be easier to DNA testing on 23&Me or ancestry to find relatives of Baby Doe that can find the father. Or find him in the prison system. I believe the father is not looking for Baby Doe because he killed her and Peaches. This murder looks like its personal and would explain how the murderer was able to kill the Baby Doe (the police are not sure how Baby Doe died). But I believe finding daddy might give answers on who is Peaches because surely he would remember Peaches if he had a baby with her. What do you think happen to Peaches and her child?
